House Inc Collection by Annette Tatum

Annette Tatum began her venture into the world of shabby chic decor in 2002, and has brought a much needed source of fresh aired fabrics to the fingertips of decorators worldwide. Worldwide interior designers have put her collection of fabrics, shabby bedding, and chic furniture to good use. And there’s no question why. Her extensive products reach into infant, juvenile, and adult markets for bedding that is truly in the spirit of shabby chic. Priced at $40-$80 a yard, you’ll pay a small fortune for your next do it yourself sewing project using her poplin fabrics, but it all becomes worth it when your room comes together. You can expect lush roses, of course, but Annette offers a more diverse fabric pattern selection that her predecessors by way of paisleys, harlequins, stars, swirls, and polka dots. She has thought of everything.

The Cape Cod Braided Rug Company

I love the look of braided rugs that bring so much charm to a home. Here is one of my favorite history of one of the best braided rug company’s out there!

The storied history of the Cape Cod Braided Rug started in the little town of Plainville, Massachusetts in 1910. At that time, Romeo Paulus was employed by a shoelace manufacturing company, and realized that the same braiding process used in the production of shoelaces, could be applied to braided rug production.

Romeo modified the machiney used in shoelace production, producing the first machine-made braided rugs in the United States and started the Plainville Rug Company. The company grew over the years, producing many different lines of braided rugs, with distribution outlets throughout the United States in the mid-west, west, and south.

The Paulus family migrated to Cape Cod and the Cape Cod Braided Rug Company was born in the early 1970′s. The company has grown over the years with every braided rug produced carrying the long family tradition of handcrafted excellence and quality.

The machinery and process used to produce a braided rug today has not changed dramtically since that first braided rug was produced by Romeo Paulus in 1910. We gladly offer tours of our manufacturing facility in Harwich. Please call our toll free number to schedule a tour.

We have just brought back the line of Olde New England Braided Rugs that Romeo Paulus made famous. Please stop by our retail showroom to view these one of a kind beautiful braided rugs.

Modern Mirror Design

Part mirror, part sculpture, this modern mirror mesmerizes in any room of the house. Nine 8″ round mirrors are connected by a solid metal frame to create one fabulous, artistic mirror. Hang one or a few together – horizontally or vertically – to add even more depth to your room or hallway. Or try one in your guest bath as a modern alternative to a standard mirror.

Trends in Country Decorating Lamps

Don’t be boring! Because when we’re ready to buy a new lamp or two for the homestead we need something really nice, kinda fun, a little snazzy. No one wants to own what their next door neighbors own or whatever is on sale at the Home Depot! Certainly not when you can find better deals on more unique items elsewhere! The hardest part about purchasing online is that there is so much to look at and consider. The wonderful part is that you get to find something you absolutely love. There’s so much to choose from, and you’ll see plenty of country lighting fixtures and lamps that you’ll want for your friends as well. My word of advice, use buttons on the site to pare down your viewing selection – that way it is really fast to find exactly what you want!
